UNBELIEVABLE: Denny Hamlin had funny response to fans throwing cucumber at him

Denny Hamlin had funny response to fans throwing cucumber at him

Denny Hamlin was unfazed by boos, tire problems and even a pickle to win the NASCAR Cup Series race Sunday at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. Hamlin held off Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Martin Truex Jr. in the closing stages to win the Food City dirt race, which was dominated by tire wear. Tire problems on the track during the race were so severe that NASCAR issued each team an additional set of tires.

Hamlin made the most of the rough conditions in his No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE. On Sunday, Hamlin notched his fourth win at NASCAR’s famous bullring. Hamlin, a member of one of the sport’s great franchises, received his customary boos as he celebrated his victory. He also had pickles thrown at him by some disgruntled fans, a repeat of what happened in Hamlin’s last win against Bristol.

Hamlin had an appropriate response to Cucumber’s rudeness. He used Bristol’s iconic gladiator sword to cut through one of the pieces of food thrown at him by a fan. This isn’t the first time Hamlin has trolled fans after winning a NASCAR Cup Series race. Hamlin qualified for the playoffs with his 52nd Cup Series win.
