Jerry Jones has a lot of good things to say about CeeDee Lamb.
Last year the Dallas Cowboys had a good season, followed by a disappointing finish in the playoffs. A way to end the year that Dallas fans know all too well. The team needs to take the next step in the postseason, but the Cowboys have been surprisingly quiet in terms of offseason moves. For example, one player that people expect to get a contract extension is CeeDee Lamb. Nothing so far.
I think CeeDee is one of the best players in the NFL,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said, according to an article in The Athletic. “I think he’s personally very important to the success of the quarterback because of his position. I think if you watch extra football, he does everything for you there. It is versatile in terms of where we can use it and what we can use it for. He is dedicated to his practice and in good physical health. It really puts him at the top as a player. I think the answer is obvious: I think he’s one of the best players in the NFL.
It’s certainly a surprise to see the Cowboys not get much action this season, but Jerry Jones is clearly happy with the way his roster is shaping up. “Very proud of this selection,” Jones said. “I think about this roster a lot, without knowing at this point how much the rookies will contribute, we are confident in the team promise we will have with this roster this year. We will bring out young players, not names that become names because the names have disappeared and are no longer on the roster. These guys need to take it a step further. We all agree with these young people. We all agree with this project.
