NASCAR Issues: Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin are at it again

“What’s the deal” – Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin on it again takes a hilarious jibe on Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano on National Have A Coke day

Even during the worst season of his career last year, Chase Elliott’s popularity remained undiminished. He won the Most Popular Driver award six years in a row. And now he has found his form again and Elliott’s popularity has reached new heights compared to other drivers.

This was reflected in the fact that compared to his rival NASCAR drivers, his signature Coca-Cola flavor was nowhere to be seen. Elliott is one of five NASCAR drivers currently sponsored by Coca-Cola, the others being Denny Hamlin, Daniel Suarez, Joey Logano and Austin Dillon. Chase Elliott posted a video sent to him by a friend on his X handle, making fun of four other drivers who are sponsored by Coca-Cola.

Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick on the importance of Chase Elliott to NASCAR

After Chase Elliott ended his long winning streak at Texas, Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin talked about the win and what the No. 9 driver meant to NASCAR. Hamlin even suggested what Elliott needs to do for the good of the sport. Harvick called Elliott’s win “a huge win for our sport” and insisted everyone in the NASCAR Chase needs Elliott to succeed. But Harvick wondered if Hendrick’s driver felt “that pressure” on his shoulders at times and speculated that “it’s probably a lighter load on him.”

Hamlin also noted Elliott’s importance to NASCAR

Joe Gibbs Racing driver said along with NASCAR, Elliott needs to show a different side of the superstar racer, his personality and who he is off the track. Hamlin argued that drivers need to be more open to make it work.

He argued that fans love watching sports because of the superstars, and because the superstars can do things that fans cannot do. Hamlin said NASCAR should try to show fans “how great Chase Elliott is at his craft,” but also provide insight into his greatness so fans can learn more about it. He added that it should be understandable.
