NASCAR In Another Shit: Denny Hamlin criticizes NASCAR

NASCAR is even worse: Denny Hamlin criticizes NASCAR

Denny Hamlin does not support the recently proposed charter restrictions. With the current charter agreements expiring this year, Cup Series teams and NASCAR are currently negotiating new charter agreements. As part of the new agreement, NASCAR implemented system changes that prohibit teams from owning more than three charters, with JGR and HMS receiving special exemptions.

However, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver does not believe this is the right approach to achieve equality.

He argues that regardless of rule changes, the top teams will always have the best cars, teams and drivers, so it will be impossible to stop them from continuing to dominate as they have in the past.

The three-time Daytona 500 winner also expressed frustration with the slow progress of charter negotiations.

He stressed that he and the 23XI Racing team are eager to complete negotiations early, as the ownership group is hesitant to make future investments given the time constraints.

In a recent podcast, Denny Hamlin said that no teams requested NASCAR’s proposed changes during the negotiation period, meaning that the proposed changes are simply of NASCAR’s own initiative.

The new proposal may seem unconventional, but it is not counterproductive.

It is the right decision to limit the teams to four charters, as some teams often extend beyond their capabilities and end up hurting themselves in the process.
