Kevin Harvick reveal possible return to Rick Hendrick’s team while taking a jab at Kyle Busch for leaving HMS

Kyle Busch spent the first four years of his NASCAR Cup career and most of his Xfinity Series career with HMS.

However, the 2024 NASCAR Cup season was a real nightmare for the No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet team.

The slow car they put on the track prevented Busch from being competitive in Cup events this year. Furthermore, his involvement in several incidents on the track that led to accidents and retirements only made the situation worse.

Due to various dramas on the track, rumors are circulating that Busch is looking for a way out of RCR.

Fueling further speculation, Busch openly admitted in Iowa that he would be open to returning to his former Cup team, Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing, which has a successful history in the sport.

However, it is worth noting that Busch was previously fired from HMS, and his comments have caused confusion and questions about his intentions.

In response to Busch’s comments, the 2014 Cup champions expressed confusion as to why Busch would make such a statement, reminding them that he was previously fired from HMS.

This response suggests that Busch’s opinions may have negatively affected his position at SHR, as he may lose the team’s trust.

Despite the speculation, the No. 8 team is confident that Busch will remain with RCR going forward.

They see him as an important part of the team’s future and have emphasized their active involvement in the team’s project.

However, it remains to be seen whether Busch chooses to remain with RCR or pursue other opportunities.

Busch is currently unable to negotiate with other teams as his contract with RCR runs until the end of 2025.

This contractual restriction adds an exciting element to the situation and raises the question of what the future holds for the veteran driver.
