“I Don’t Give Two Sh*ts About the Olympics”—Tony Stewart’s Off Weekend Proves to Be a Tough Nut to Crack

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. That’s exactly what Tony Stewart must be thinking after losing to Gary Pritchett at Summit Motorsports Park’s Night of Fire. Stewart is considered one of the most versatile drivers in motorsports and is slowly but surely getting into drag racing. He recently beat Gary Pritchett in the final race at National Trail Raceway, but this time he couldn’t pull off the result.

With NASCAR currently in the middle of a two-week Olympic break, Tony Stewart is obviously unable to keep up with the sporting events in Paris. Instead, he lives in the fast lane, as he always has, even when the results are not in his favor.

Tony Stewart’s shocking reaction

With no NASCAR races taking place over the weekend, the venue was packed for the Night of Fire at Summit Motorsports Park. Four races were held in the first round of the “Top Alcohol Dragster” category, with four drivers advancing to the semi-finals. In the opening race, Gary Pritchett beat Angel Sampey with a time of 5.332, while his opponent recorded a time of 5.334.

Meanwhile, Tony Stewart raced against John Paul Gutierrez, with Smoak scoring a 5.303 to beat Gutierrez’s 5.305. Two more races were held in the opening race, with Mike Coughlin winning against Joe Maynard and Hunter Greene winning against Brandon Greco.

Stewart’s decision to compete in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series?

He didn’t want to be glued to the TV watching the Paris Olympics. In a video showing clips from the race uploaded to Instagram, Smoak can be heard saying something unexpected: “I have a free weekend, you don’t think I’m going to sit at home and watch TV? I don’t care about the Olympics. I’d rather come to the races and hang out with the cool people.” But Olympic fans wouldn’t like that. However, Tony Stewart’s decision made him happy. After making it to the semi-finals, he raced against Mike Coughlin, who finished with a time of 5.236 and narrowly beat his opponent, who finished with a time of 5.276. Gary Pritchett finished the semi-finals with a time of 5.371, but Hunter Greene committed a foul, which meant Pritchett advanced to the finals without a fight. Unfortunately for Stewart, in the final race, Gary Pritchett, who recorded a time of 5.251, narrowly beat Tony Stewart with a time of 5.267 and won the 2024 Top Alcohol Dragster Champion trophy.

With Leah Pruett currently on maternity leave, Tony Stewart is slowly getting used to the world of drag racing. He recently won his first NHRA Top Fuel Elimination Round victory in his Tony Stewart Racing Dodge Top Alcohol Dragster. Smoak is slowly getting a taste of drag racing, but he still hopes his wife, Leah Pruett, will return to racing after the birth of their baby boy in November 2024.

Stewart is hopeful that Leah Pruett will return to racing soon

Before Leah Pruett’s pregnancy, Tony Stewart’s role in the drag racing world was strictly limited to that of a team owner. While Tony Stewart is beginning to enjoy his role as a drag racer in his wife’s absence, after the birth of their young son, he wants nothing more than to see her back in the cockpit. With 18 career wins to date, 12 in Top Fuel, and three each in Pro Mod and Factory Stock Showdown, Tony Stewart knows it will be hard to fill Leah Pruett’s spot. She finished third in the Top Fuel standings last year, her highest-ever ranking, and hopes to reach those heights again when she returns to racing.

In an interview for the July 30 issue of Querrey & Company, Tony Stewart said: It’s her passion, I know she loves it. Of course, who knows how the world will change when this little boy is born in November. But she’s going to get back in the car. ” Tony Stewart made his NHRA Drag Racing Series debut midway through the 2023 season. Driving a Rich McPhillips Mobil 1 Dragster, Stewart won a race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in his debut season. The win means he has won races in four different motorsport formats in his career. While his future in drag racing is still uncertain, Stewart is living one day at a time and supporting his wife, Leah Pruett, during her pregnancy.
