“How Did NASCAR Champion Kyle Larson Perform in the World of Outlaws Ironman 55? See the Full Results!”

After clinching victory on the opening night of the Federated Auto Parts Ironman 55 weekend at I-55 Raceway, Kyle Larson returned to secure another win on Saturday, August 3, concluding the World of Outlaws weekend in style.

Driving the #57 sprint car for Silva Motorsports, Larson, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion, overcame a 12th-place starting position to sweep the weekend by winning the World of Outlaws Ironman 55 at I-55 Raceway. This win marked his second consecutive Ironman 55 title and his third overall in the event’s history.

Larson took the lead from Giovanni Scelzi with 10 laps remaining and maintained his position unchallenged, finishing 1.5 seconds ahead of Donny Schatz. For his efforts, Larson, representing #5 Hendrick Motorsports, earned a $25,000 prize. Reflecting on his performance, Larson shared (via WorldofOutlaws.com):

“I was just fortunate enough to get a good initial start and kind of be the first one to the top to get to fifth. I was really struggling there before the open red, so that was nice to be able to get Paul (Silva) to turn some wrenches on this thing and get me freed up. That really allowed me to kind of get through the waves in (Turn) 1 and get through the middle and get pointed off of (Turn) 2 much better.”

Donny Schatz finished in second place, followed by Carson Macedo, Giovanni Scelzi, and Logan Schuchart in the top five. The top ten was rounded out by David Gravel, Michael Kofoid, Bill Balog, Sheldon Haudenschild, and Ayrton Gennetten.
