HMS’ $12M-worth Kyle Larson jokingly expose the secret behind Chase Elliott seriousness and focus

Hendrick Motorsports star Kyle Larson believes HMS teammate and Talladega winner Chase Elliott is perfect for the role of James Bond.

While Chase Elliott is an exceptional driver and one of the most popular figures in NASCAR, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion is known for living a quiet life away from the track . A six-time winner of NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver Award, Elliott’s personality may be perfect for the role of legendary Hollywood secret agent James Bond. In a recent interview uploaded to Hendrick Motorsports’ Instagram account, four HMS drivers were asked their opinions on the ideal man to play the role of the next 007. Chase Elliott suggested that William Byron’s mysterious personality could make him a candidate. He responded:

Alex Bowman playfully nominated Elliott himself, citing his perceived ‘sneaky’ qualities as a potential fit for the character. He added:

Kyle Larson reflects on Indy 500 preparations

Later in the season, Larson, 31, is set to attempt “The Double,” a feat where he would run the Indy 500 race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway before competing in the Coca-Cola 600 race. In the process, Kyle Larson would run a total of 1,100 miles, becoming only the fifth driver to attempt this feat.

Larson recently spoke to FOX8, where he emphasized the importance of familiarity and experience with the iconic track. The Hendrick Motorsports driver said:

Having already undergone orientation and test runs in an Indy car, Larson added:

NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart is the only driver in the history to complete both the races. Kyle Larson now hopes to write his name in the history books by becoming the first player since 2001 to accomplish the same feat.

Hendrick Motorsports could replace Kyle Larson for NASCAR All-Star Race in 2024

Kyle Larson will attempt “The Double” of the Coca-Cola 600 and Indianapolis 500 on May 26th. But Larson’s time in Indianapolis doesn’t start this week. Hendrick Motorsports drivers will be in Indianapolis for qualifying during the NASCAR All-Star Race weekend. Larson is expected to participate in this event, but a transfer is not out of the question. According to FOX Sports’ Bob Pokras, a decision on game day is “not out of the question” since Larson will be eligible for the All-Star race.

In this scenario, reserve riders may need to pass the Open to qualify for the main event. Depending on Larson’s schedule, qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 will be a top priority. With the NASCAR Xfinity Series canceled this weekend, the smart driver would be Justin Allgaier.

Allgaier previously served as reserve driver for Hendrick Motorsports, replacing Jimmie Johnson at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2020. We hope Larson can make it to North Wilkesboro Speedway, but a backup driver is an option if needed.
