ESPN lists former All-Pro cornerback as a best fit for the 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers signed cornerback and former Saints corner Isaac Yardham to a low-profile deal last week. You can never have enough cornerbacks, but Yadam gives the Niners a capable player at the best position.

It might be a good idea to attack other veterans. There’s a former All-Pro and Pro Bowl cornerback who has the same agent as Charvarius Ward.

ESPN suggested that former Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre White could be a great fit for the 49ers.

White was a great cornerback until recently. He was an All-Pro in 2019 and appeared in the Pro Bowl following that season before tearing his ACL in November 2021. White missed the remainder of the 2021 season and most of 2022 before suffering another season-ending injury last September when he tore his Achilles tendon.

Signing the 29-year-old White comes with risks. But Yiadom, Darrell Luter Jr. and a potential second or third-day draft pick could protect White from further injury. Knowing the talent of the football players we’re talking about, it’s hard to turn your nose up at Tre White.
