“Van Gisbergen Secures Full-Time NASCAR Cup Series Ride for 2025”

New Zealand driver Shane van Gisbergen will be a  permanent fixture on  the 2025 Nascar Cup  Series grid, with Trackhouse Racing expanding its  operations next season to  accommodate a third car.

Van Gisbergen  has made  waves on the American scene after joining  Trackhouse. Race for a  unique project in 2023,  competing in the inaugural event at the Chicago Street Course. Van Gisbergen won the race, becoming  the seventh driver to win  in his Nascar debut and the first to do so since 1963. 
This became a second opportunity with the team, with  Van Gisbergen  earning another  top finish 10, and  made  the Nascar truck series debut later  that year. His performances brought  a lot of attention to the three-time Supercars champion, and he joined Trackhouse Racing for 2024 on a part-time basis with  the three  domestic Nascar series as part of a development  agreement with the team, while running a  part-time schedule  full with Kaulig Racing in the Nascar Xfinity  Series. For 2025, the 35-year-old will join Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez  on the  team’s Cup Series  roster. “That’s what  I’ve planned  and  I’m ready,” van Gisbergen  said. “I know  there’s a  hard learning curve ahead, but the best way to learn is to go out and  I do. I feel  like I’ve made progress  competing in the Xfinity Series this year with Kaulig Racing and I  can’t Thank you very much everyone. I  am looking forward to the Cup Series. 

These drivers and teams are the best in the world and it will be an  honor to be part of their  race.
