“Toni Breidinger’s NASCAR Shocking Announcement Sparks Uncomfortable Danica Patrick Comparisons”

Toni Breidinger has officially secured a full-time seat in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for 2025 with TRICON Garage, sparking significant buzz among fans on social media. Some have even drawn comparisons between Breidinger and former NASCAR and IndyCar star Danica Patrick.

Breidinger, who has previously competed in the ARCA Menards Series and part-time in the Truck Series, holds the record for the most top-ten finishes by a female driver in any NASCAR series, with 27 to her name. In addition to her on-track accomplishments, the Arabic-American driver has secured major sponsorships from brands like CELSIUS, Raising Cane’s, and Victoria’s Secret. With over 5 million followers across Instagram and TikTok, Breidinger’s marketability makes her an attractive addition to TRICON Garage.

Reflecting on her new opportunity, Breidinger shared her excitement, saying,
“Racing full-time with TRICON is a dream come true. It’s been a 15-year journey to get here, and I’m ready to make the most of it. This wouldn’t be possible without the support of Toyota, Raising Cane’s, CELSIUS, and Sunoco. I’m incredibly grateful to have such amazing partners and a strong team behind me as I take this next step in my career.”

While many fans are celebrating the news, some have expressed skepticism, referencing the careers of other female drivers like Danica Patrick and Hailie Deegan. Patrick’s racing career included several historic achievements, such as being the first woman to win an IndyCar race, earning a NASCAR Cup Series pole position, and achieving the highest finishes by a female driver in both the Indy 500 and Daytona 500. However, her NASCAR career saw more modest results, with her best finishes being 24th in the Cup Series and 10th in Xfinity.

Fans have taken to social media to share their mixed reactions, with one commenter writing:
“Super happy for her, but I hope this isn’t another Hailie Deegan or Danica Patrick situation. For some reason, women just struggle to succeed in NASCAR.” Another remarked,
“I want to be excited about a female driver, but after Danica and Hailie, I’m hesitant.”
A third added,
“It’ll probably turn out like the last three women who tried.”

Breidinger will make her full-time debut in the Craftsman Truck Series at the Fresh From Florida 250, held at Daytona International Speedway on February 14, 2025.
