“Thanksgiving Drama: NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Drivers Clash Over Feud”

On Thursday, millions of Americans gathered with family and friends to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. For many, the day is marked by traditions such as watching football and enjoying a feast of turkey, ham, stuffing, and a variety of desserts. However, NASCAR Cup Series driver Riley Herbst is not a fan of the traditional fare, as he admitted in a Nov. 24 post on X.

“Thanksgiving food is not good,” Herbst wrote. His comment sparked mixed reactions, with several fans suggesting he either wasn’t eating the right dishes or that they weren’t prepared properly. On Thanksgiving Day, Herbst doubled down on his stance by replying to his post with “Bump” and sharing a photo of his holiday meal: two tacos and a beer, apparently from a resort in Mexico.

The unconventional meal caught the attention of Connor Zilisch, who commented, “Ur weird.” Herbst fired back, “Let me know when you’re 21 and can have a beer with me.” The exchange between the former Stewart-Haas Racing driver and the 2025 Xfinity Series rookie quickly got fans talking.

One fan wrote, “Bruh, I thought Thanksgiving was a moment of thanking each other.” Another joked, “We really have beef on turkey day.” Interestingly, the banter isn’t rooted in any on-track rivalry. The two drivers, with Zilisch turning 18 this year, only raced against each other four times in the Xfinity Series. Zilisch notably won at Watkins Glen, finishing ahead of Herbst twice, while Herbst secured a win in the season finale at Phoenix.

In 2025, the two will be racing in different series and won’t compete regularly. However, their online exchange suggests there’s already some tension. Should they meet on the track again, it could make for some intriguing racing moments.
