Noah Gragson has secured a new position in the NASCAR Cup Series with Front Row Motorsports, where he will drive the No. 4 car for the 2025 season. This follows Gragson’s departure from Stewart-Haas Racing, as the team has decided to close its NASCAR operations after the 2024 season. Gragson, who has previously raced for teams such as JR Motorsports, Legacy Motor Club, and Stewart-Haas Racing, will now join Front Row Motorsports as the team expands to three full-time entries in the Cup Series.
The expansion of Front Row Motorsports is made possible by the acquisition of one of the charters that became available when Stewart-Haas Racing scaled down its operations. Stewart-Haas Racing is retaining only one charter under the Haas Factory name. As Gragson transitions to his new team, several key members from his crew at Stewart-Haas Racing will follow him to Front Row Motorsports, including his crew chief, Drew Blickensderfer. Blickensderfer worked closely with Gragson in previous seasons, helping him achieve impressive results, such as seven top-ten finishes and one top-five finish.
Blickensderfer expressed his excitement about the move, saying, “I had a great experience working for Bob (Jenkins) and Jerry (Freeze) before, and now returning alongside Noah makes this opportunity even more special.” In addition to Blickensderfer, other crew members, including Chris Trickett, Matt Moeller, Dillon Silverman, and Matt Murphy, will also join the team in specialized roles, from interior specialists to engineers. This continuity is expected to benefit Gragson greatly as he adjusts to his new team and car.
Gragson himself shared his appreciation for the move, stating, “I’m grateful to have my crew chief, Drew, along with four members from last year’s team join Front Row Motorsports. This gives us a strong foundation to hit the ground running in the 2025 season.”
Alongside Gragson, Zane Smith is set to return to Front Row Motorsports. After parting ways with the team following the 2023 season, Smith will rejoin in 2025 after securing a NASCAR Truck Series championship with Front Row Motorsports. This strengthens the team’s lineup and bolsters their chances for success in the upcoming season.
