Chad and Casey Boat have had a rough few days, but they finally have some great news to share. They just welcomed their second daughter, Carter Faith Boat, on August 15th. Things took an unexpected turn when little Carter had to spend some time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit right after she was born. Thankfully, Casey, who co-hosts the popular Door Bumper Clear podcast, recently gave a happy update on social media—Carter is now healthy and safe at home. This news brought a huge sigh of relief to their family, friends, and fans who’ve been rooting for them.
When Casey shared the update about Carter’s recovery, the NASCAR community quickly responded with lots of love and well-wishes for the family. The Boats are well-known in the racing world. Chad, who has raced in Indy Lights and NASCAR, also co-owns Tucker/Boat Motorsports, a team that won the USAC National Midget Championship in 2020 with driver Chris Windom. This win was extra special for Chad since it made him the first driver to have both won a USAC National Midget race himself and to co-own a championship-winning car driven by someone else.
Casey is just as involved in motorsports as her husband. She’s a co-host on the Door Bumper Clear podcast for Dirty Mo Media, where she and her co-hosts share behind-the-scenes insights from the NASCAR world. Recently, she posted on social media: “Carter Faith Boat, Born August 15th, 2024. 6lbs. 19in. Her middle name has already proven accurate as faith kept us going through a stay at the NICU, but thankful she is home so we can soak in all the family time. Carter is so, so strong, and Chloe is loving being a big sister.” Now that Carter is home and doing well, Casey can finally return to her podcast duties, just in time for the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs starting next week at Atlanta Motor Speedway. But for now, the Boat family is taking a well-deserved break to enjoy some quality time together after such a stressful experience.
The NASCAR community, as always, has been incredibly supportive during this tough time. Many fans and friends have reached out to express their joy and relief that Carter is doing well. Amanda Wallace, Bubba Wallace’s wife, who’s also expecting, congratulated Casey on Instagram, saying, “Congratulations!!! I hope you are doing well!” NASCAR journalist Jeff Gluck also sent his well-wishes, writing, “Glad to hear you’re home. I’m sure that was very stressful! Welcome, Carter!” Fans were quick to show their love, too, especially those who understand the challenge of having a newborn in the NICU. One fan tweeted, “Congratulations! Glad it all worked out – I can’t imagine the agony of a NICU stay.” Another joked about the experience, saying, “I bet the heartburn was brutal with her, but congratulations are in order!!!”
There were plenty of warm messages for baby Carter, too. One fan sweetly welcomed her, saying, “Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl. Welcome to the World, Carter Faith. May you always be surrounded by love and laughter and be blessed with good health and prosperity.” The photo Casey shared showed Carter peacefully sleeping with a tiny smirk on her face, instantly winning everyone over. One fan even commented on Carter’s dark hair, writing on Instagram, “OMG her hair!!! she’s beautiful!!!”
The overwhelming love and support from the NASCAR community really show how close-knit this racing family is. Right now, the Boats are soaking up every moment with their little ones and feeling incredibly grateful for all the kindness and support they’ve received. It’s been a wild ride, but with Carter finally home, they can relax and look forward to the future.
