It’s been a tough few days for Chad and Casey Boat, but there’s finally some good news to share. The couple recently welcomed their second daughter, Carter Faith Boat, on August 15th. However, things didn’t go as planned when little Carter had to stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit right after her birth.
Thankfully, a heartwarming update on social media from Casey, co-host of the popular Door Bumper Clear podcast, has let everyone know that Carter is now healthy and safe at home. This news has brought a lot of relief to their family, friends, and fans, who have all been hoping for the best.
When Casey shared the update about Carter’s health, the NASCAR community was quick to react with an outpouring of support and well-wishes for the family. The Boats have been well-known figures in the racing world for a while now.
Chad, who has competed in Indy Lights and NASCAR, is also the co-owner of Tucker/Boat Motorsports, a team that won the USAC National Midget Championship in 2020 with driver Chris Windom. This win was special because it made Chad the first driver to have both won a USAC National Midget race himself and to co-own a championship-winning car driven by someone else.
Casey, on the other hand, is also deeply involved in motorsports. She is a co-host of the Door Bumper Clear podcast on Dirty Mo Media, where she and her fellow hosts provide behind-the-scenes insights from the NASCAR world. She recently took to social media to share the following update about Carter: “Carter Faith Boat Born August 15th, 2024. 6lbs. 19in. Her middle name has already proven accurate as faith kept us going through a stay at the NICU, but thankful she is home so we can soak in all the family time. Carter is so, so strong, and Chloe is loving being a big sister .”
Now that Carter is home and healthy, Casey can finally get back to her podcast duties, just in time for the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, which are right around the corner. The first race of the playoffs kicks off next week at Atlanta Motor Speedway, marking the beginning of the Round of 16. But for now, the Boat family is taking some well-deserved time to relax and enjoy being together after such a stressful experience.
The NASCAR community, as always, has shown incredible support for the Boat family during this challenging time. Many fans and friends have reached out to express their relief and joy that Carter is doing well. Bubba Wallace’s wife, Amanda, who is expecting a baby boy, congratulated Casey on Instagram, saying, “Congratulations!!! I hope you are doing well!” Jeff Gluck, a NASCAR journalist for The Athletic, also sent his well-wishes, writing, “Glad to hear you’re home. I’m sure that was very stressful! Welcome, Carter!”
Fans were also quick to share their love and support. Understanding how tough it is when a newborn has to stay in the NICU, one fan tweeted, “Congratulations! Glad it all worked out — I can’t imagine the agony of a NICU stay.” Another fan, sympathizing with the Boats’ experience, commented, “I bet the heartburn was brutal with her, but congratulations are in order!!!”
Others sent heartfelt messages for the newest addition to the Boat family. One fan warmly welcomed Carter to the world, saying, “Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl. Welcome to the World Carter Faith. May you always be surrounded by love and laughter and be blessed with good health and prosperity. ”
The photo Casey shared showed Carter peacefully asleep with a tiny smirk on her face, winning over the hearts of everyone who saw it. One fan, admiring the newborn’s dark hair, commented on Instagram, “OMG her hair!!! she’s beautiful!!!”
This outpouring of love and support from the NASCAR community has been overwhelming, showing just how close-knit this racing family is. Right now, the Boats are soaking in every moment with their little ones and feeling grateful for the kindness and well-wishes coming their way. It’s been a rollercoaster, but with Carter home, they can finally breathe a sigh of relief and focus on the future.
