Motorsport Games has announced that all 10 of its NASCAR video games will be removed from digital storefronts after December 31, 2024. Players still have time to purchase these titles, many of which are available at discounted prices across platforms, until their delisting. This decision affects games spanning the Heat, Rivals, and Ignition series.
The studio, which has held the NASCAR gaming license since 2018, has had a mixed track record of quality and faced controversies, including a notable employee dispute last year involving a threat to leak source code. Despite this, some titles have been well-received—NASCAR Heat 5 has earned “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, showcasing the company’s ability to deliver solid racing experiences.
The titles being delisted include:
NASCAR 15: Victory Edition
NASCAR Rivals
NASCAR 21: Ignition
NASCAR Heat Mobile
NASCAR Heat Evolution
NASCAR Heat Ultimate Edition
NASCAR Heat 2
NASCAR Heat 3
NASCAR Heat 4
NASCAR Heat 5
Players who purchase the games before the deadline will retain access and be able to continue playing after their removal. In addition, Motorsport Games has promised December promotions to allow fans to complete their collections, with highlights like NASCAR Heat 5 for $3.74 and NASCAR 21: Ignition for $1.79 on Steam.
Looking ahead, the NASCAR gaming franchise is set to enter a new phase in 2025 under iRacing, which acquired the license last year. The debut title in this new era, NASCAR 25, is expected to launch next year, marking a fresh chapter for the series with a developer renowned for its realistic racing simulations.
