Kyle Larson, valued at $12 million, teasingly pokes fun at Chase Elliott’s former self during a guessing game at HMS.

Recently, the drivers of Hendrick Motorsports—Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, William Byron, and Alex Bowman—gathered for a fun guessing game centered around their social media history. Larson seized the moment to poke fun at his teammate Elliott, playfully ribbing him about his younger self.

During the game, the host presented the drivers with a selection of their old tweets, challenging them to identify who had posted each one. This led to some amusing banter from the seasoned drivers.

Kyle Larson, whose net worth is estimated at $12 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, couldn’t resist taking a comedic jab at Elliott when he stumbled upon a tweet from 2012. In it, Elliott had inquired if anyone wanted to join him in starting a lawn mower racing team. Larson’s reaction was priceless.

“Why is this your personality now, Chase? This is hilarious.”

In a twist, Larson misidentified the tweet, mistakenly thinking it was his own. Before Larson’s turn, William Byron, Chase Elliott, and Alex Bowman had all taken their shots at the game.

Byron successfully guessed one of Bowman’s old tweets, but when it was Elliott’s turn to identify a tweet from his own birthday in 2012, he missed the mark, incorrectly naming Bowman instead of Larson, who was the actual author.

Bowman finished in third place and received one of Larson’s tweets as a prize. However, he misidentified the answer, naming Byron instead. It’s worth noting that Hendrick Motorsports frequently shares similar guessing games on Instagram, and the video released on Wednesday followed that trend.

Denny Hamlin’s penalty has impacted both Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott.

Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott have emerged as the top challengers to Denny Hamlin in the race for the NASCAR regular season championship. However, the landscape shifted dramatically when the Joe Gibbs Racing driver received a hefty penalty from NASCAR.

This penalty dropped Hamlin to eighth place, allowing Elliott and Larson to move up to second and third, respectively. Instead of celebrating this change, the Hendrick Motorsports teammates voiced their concerns about the situation. In a conversation with The Athletic, Elliott expressed his feelings, saying,

“I really dislike this because I want to compete against Denny. I want him in the mix because they perform exceptionally well. Competing head-to-head with a team of that caliber is beneficial and healthy for the sport.”

Kyle Larson echoed these sentiments, stating,

“You might think I’d be pleased about his penalty, but honestly, I was disappointed. It’s a significant penalty. … Everyone deserves a fair chance, and from what I gather, it wasn’t intentional cheating. It was simply an error. But an error is still an error, and consequences follow.”

NASCAR penalized Hamlin after Toyota Racing Development rebuilt his race-winning Toyota Camry before NASCAR had the opportunity to inspect it. Consequently, Hamlin faced a deduction of 75 regular season points and 10 playoff points. Additionally, his crew chief at JGR, Chris Gabehart, was fined $100,000.
