Kligerman Responds Boldly to NASCAR Appeal Decision After ‘One Of The Hardest Weeks’

Parker Kligerman Reacts After NASCAR Denies Appeal Over Daytona Disqualification

Parker Kligerman has broken his silence on social media following NASCAR’s decision to deny the appeal against his disqualification from the Craftsman Truck Series race at Daytona.

Kligerman initially celebrated what seemed like a monumental win at Daytona International Speedway, but the victory was short-lived. Post-race inspections revealed that the rear of his Henderson Motorsports truck was too low, leading NASCAR to strip him of the win.

Henderson Motorsports quickly filed an appeal, arguing their case and stating, “We’ve decided to appeal the disqualification of our #75 Truck from yesterday evening’s NCTS Race at Daytona,” as previously reported by Newsweek Sports.

However, NASCAR announced that the appeal was unsuccessful, stating, “The panel confirms it is more likely than not [that] a rules violation did occur and the disqualification penalties in rule 10.5.2.4 necessitate a race disqualification.”
In response, Kligerman took to social media to express his frustration and heartbreak, calling it “one of the hardest weeks” of his racing career. He detailed the extensive efforts he and his team made to contest the ruling, working around the clock since the disqualification.

“The truck raced legal. And won legal,” Kligerman asserted. He explained that an “unfortunate circumstance” during the technical inspection led to the truck being measured at an incorrect height. According to Kligerman, the rear was found to be too low by just 1/8 inch on the left rear and 1/4 inch on the right rear—minimal discrepancies that ultimately cost him the win.
Kligerman also mentioned that he would dive deeper into the incident on The Money Lap podcast next week with co-host Landon Cassill. Despite the disqualification, he noted, “I still have the checkered flag,” showing his determination to move forward.

The setback has dropped Kligerman to the bottom of the Craftsman Truck Series standings with -1 point, a tough blow heading into the next race weekend in Atlanta. However, Kligerman remains focused on bouncing back and turning his season around.
