Following Isabella Robusto’s milestone performance on Saturday, April 26, NASCAR journalist Kaitlyn Vincie took to X to offer her congratulations. Robusto made history by securing the highest-ever finish for a female driver in the ARCA Menards Series at Talladega Superspeedway, claiming third place.
The 20-year-old Robusto, piloting the #55 Venturini Motorsports Toyota, started the General Tire 200 in fourth and finished with a career-best third in her first full-time ARCA Menards Series campaign. Kaitlyn Vincie shared a photo from her post-race interview with Robusto on social media, celebrating the moment.
“Congratulations Isabella Robusto on making history at Dega. @ARCA_Racing,” Vincie wrote.
During their conversation, Robusto expressed a mix of pride and hunger for more, admitting she wished she had crossed the line two spots higher for the win but was still thrilled with the result.
“It means a lot. I wish I had finished two spots better and won, but I’m happy to bring it home in the top three,” said Robusto.
She continued, saying:
“I’m glad I got my Mobil 1 Toyota Camry back to pit road with minimal damage. The Venturini crew has given me strong cars, and I think they’ll continue to do so this season. I’m proud of our effort today.”
While Robusto celebrated a groundbreaking finish, her Venturini Motorsports teammate Lawless Alan captured the race win after a late caution ended the event. Thad Moffitt took second, with Andy Jankowiak and Jason Kitzmiller rounding out the top five.
Robusto, a South Carolina native, has had an eventful rookie season so far. Speaking earlier about her ambitions, she said:
“I feel confident going into this season and have set big goals for myself. I’m here to learn but also to compete for wins and the championship. It’s exciting knowing I have the opportunity to become the first female winner at this level.”
Her 2025 season began with a crash at Daytona International Speedway, where she was running near the top five before getting caught in a multi-car wreck, ending her day after 48 of 80 laps. Brenden “Butterbean” Queen went on to win that race. Robusto faced more trouble at Phoenix Raceway, retiring early after just 19 laps.
However, her third-place finish at Talladega signals a strong turnaround. Next, Robusto will look to build on that momentum in the Tide 150 at Kansas Speedway, scheduled for May 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET, airing on FOX, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
