Hendrick Motorsports Under Fire for Overlooking Alex Bowman in Chili Bowl Nationals Promotion

Hendrick Motorsports has found itself at the center of fan backlash after a social media post promoting their involvement in the 2025 Chili Bowl Nationals failed to acknowledge Alex Bowman’s participation. The post highlighted NASCAR stars Kyle Larson and Corey Day, who are set to compete in the renowned dirt track event. However, Bowman’s omission did not sit well with fans.

Although Bowman won’t be racing in the Chili Bowl, he will still play a significant role as a team owner. Through his Alex Bowman Racing venture, he will field four cars in the competition, each aiming to secure the coveted Golden Driller trophy. Despite this, Hendrick Motorsports’ failure to mention his efforts drew sharp criticism on social media.

Fans took to platforms like X to express their disappointment. One user wrote, “You forget Alex Bowman who is owner once again this year now with 4 microcars.” Another fan added, “So we not gonna talk about how Bowman owns 3 cars there so sad…” Many felt that, while Bowman may not be driving, his contributions as an owner deserved recognition from his team.

Supporters also pointed out that Hendrick Motorsports’ focus on Larson and Day overshadowed Bowman’s accomplishments. A frustrated fan commented, “What about Bowman?! The world doesn’t revolve around KL.” They argued that Bowman’s ownership role is just as important and that acknowledging his efforts would have been the right move.

Meanwhile, Kyle Larson and Corey Day are preparing for their races at the Chili Bowl Nationals. Larson, a two-time winner of the event, is returning after missing out in 2023 and hopes to claim his third title in 2025. He will be piloting the #1k car in the event, aiming to make it to the A-Main feature.

Day, a rising star and recent Hendrick Motorsports signee, is also expected to make an impact. The 19-year-old, who competes in multiple racing series, including Xfinity, Truck, and ARCA Menards, impressed last year by winning a preliminary race and finishing third in the A-Main. This year, he hopes to improve that result while driving the #41 car.

The 2025 Chili Bowl Nationals kicks off with practice on January 12, leading up to the main events on January 18. While Larson and Day prepare to make headlines on the track, fans will also be keeping an eye on Bowman’s team to see if they can deliver a strong performance in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
