Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch recently tweeted about the race in Mexico on X (formerly Twitter). This follows NASCAR’s historic announcement that the Cup Series’ first international points race will be held in Mexico City next June.
The race will be broadcast live on Prime Video.
The Xfinity Series race, also in Mexico, will air on The CW. Busch tweeted that he was excited about the race in Mexico City. He wrote about a gun and ammunition in his luggage, the news caused funny reactions from fans.
Some fans expressed concern while others joked about his recent legal troubles nearby. One fan wrote:”Don’t get arrested””Make sure you check your bags carefully this time,” commented another.
“Just get through the first border patrol,” he joked another fan.
Other fans wondered if Busch was allowed to go to Mexico because of past legal issues.

After after airport staff found guns and bullets in his luggage during a routine search, Kyle Busch was arrested in Mexico in 2023. He was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and a $1,000 fine, but he was allowed to leave on bail.
Busch later explained that he had a concealed weapons permit from the United States and that he had accidentally fired the gun in his bag. He claimed that he had no knowledge of the laws Mexican and cooperated with authorities. He also apologized for the mistake.
Busch wrote in X: “The discovery of the gun led to my arrest while the situation was resolved. “I was not aware of Mexican law and had no intention of bringing a gun to Mexico. When the incident was discovered, I fully cooperated with the authorities, agreed to the sanctions, and returned to North Carolina.”< br>”I apologize for my mistake and appreciate the respect shown by all parties to resolve the case. My family and I consider this matter closed,” he added.
NASCAR did not penalize Kyle Busch for the incident because he was on vacation with his family when the incident occurred.
