JR Motorsports (JRM) has unveiled its crew chief roster ahead of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
Founded in 2002 by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kelley Earnhardt Miller, and Rick Hendrick, JRM has established itself as a powerhouse in the Xfinity Series, with over 90 wins, four championships, 35 poles, and more than 1,579 top-10 finishes to its name.
Among the key changes in the lineup, Cory Shea takes over as crew chief for the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro, known as the “all-star” entry. This car will feature elite drivers, including Ross Chastain and Shane van Gisbergen, in select races, with a total of nine entries planned. Shea previously served as car chief for Justin Allgaier and the No. 7 team, which claimed the 2024 Xfinity Series title. His championship-winning experience raises expectations for the No. 9 team.
Jim Pohlman remains the crew chief for the No. 7 Chevrolet, continuing his partnership with Allgaier. Since joining JRM in 2023, Pohlman has led the team to significant achievements.
Phillip Bell will continue to lead the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro, with Sammy Smith returning as the driver. Bell, who moved from the No. 9 team, earned his first victory as a crew chief at Talladega Superspeedway with Smith. His tenure so far includes one win, two poles, three top-five, and nine top-10 finishes.
Andrew Overstreet will guide rookie Carson Kvapil as the new crew chief for the No. 1 Chevrolet. Overstreet brings valuable experience, including a victory, two poles, and multiple top-five and top-10 finishes, to help Kvapil navigate his rookie season.
Mardy Lindley will serve as crew chief for another rookie, Connor Zilisch, in the No. 88 Chevrolet. Lindley transitioned from the Truck Series to the Xfinity Series in 2023, finding success with Sam Mayer, securing four wins and a third-place finish in the standings.
The 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series kicks off on February 15 at Daytona International Speedway.
