Corey LaJoie Announces 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Entries After Missing Out On Full-Time Seat

NASCAR driver Corey LaJoie has unveiled his plans for the 2025 Cup Series season after failing to secure a full-time seat. LaJoie will race part-time for Rick Ware Racing and take on a new role as an on-air analyst for Prime Video, which is entering the NASCAR broadcasting scene as part of a fresh media rights agreement.

LaJoie’s driving duties will see him behind the wheel of the No. 01 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, starting with the Daytona 500. Since debuting in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2017, LaJoie has built a reputation for pushing boundaries, even in underfunded cars. His best career finish was fourth at Atlanta in 2022. In 2024, he competed in the season’s final seven races with Rick Ware Racing after leaving Spire Motorsports.

In addition to his racing and broadcasting roles, LaJoie will continue hosting his podcast, Stacking Pennies. His racing efforts will be supported by RelaDyne, featuring brands like DuraMAX and Take 5 Oil Change. Dan Oehler, RelaDyne’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating that LaJoie’s skill and dedication align with the brand’s values. Oehler highlighted the opportunity to strengthen their connection to the racing community through this collaboration.

LaJoie himself is optimistic about the new chapter. He praised Rick Ware for his support and credited him with helping establish the vision of Stacking Pennies Performance. LaJoie said he’s proud of the team’s accomplishments and looks forward to building on them at Daytona, supported by DuraMAX and Take 5 Oil Change.

Reflecting on his career, LaJoie admitted mixed emotions. While he feels his journey has exceeded his early dreams, he also struggles with the sense of untapped potential. “The pursuit of bettering myself and others has never been more important,” he shared. Though his presence on the track will be limited compared to previous seasons, he’s committed to leaving a lasting impact on the sport and the communities it touches.

With Rick Ware Racing, Prime Video, and committed sponsors, LaJoie is embracing this new direction with determination and passion, vowing to make a difference in NASCAR both on and off the track.
