Big Machine Racing has announced that Nick Sanchez will drive the no.48 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the 2025 season At just 23 years old, Sanchez replaces Parker Kligerman, who revealed that this will be his last full-time racing season.
Currently shining in NASCAR’s Craftsman Truck Series, where he sits fourth in the standings, Sanchez has two wins this season. With the play-offs underway and Bristol to come,Sanchez’s performances will undoubtedly place him among the drivers to watch in the coming years. Sanchez brings previous Xfinity Series experience, having competed in eight races in 2022, including six with Big Machine Racing. He had a good performance at Martinsville, where he finished seventh, his best finish of the year.
Team owner Scott Borchetta emphasized Sanchez’s immediate impact: “In 2022, we put Nick in our car for a few races and he was fast from the start,” he said via NBC Sports. “At Martinsville in particular, I saw him give it his all, elbows, put the car right where it needed to be, fearless against the best of the best in the series.” Car no. The 48 will be sponsored by Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers and Gainbridge,a Group 1001 company that has a long history with the young driver.Borchetta is confident in the successful partnership between Sanchez, crew chief Patrick Donahue and the Big Machine Racing team for next season.”Since then,he’s done a fantastic job in NASCAR’s Craftsman Truck series and I know he, crew chief Patrick Donahue and the entire Big Machine Racing team will be a force to be reckoned with next year in 2025.” added Borchetta.
Sanchez is surprisingly happy with the news. “I couldn’t be more excited to join Big Machine Racing with Chevrolet next year in the Xfinity Series,” he said. “As a driver, I feel ready to take it to the next level and I’m looking forward to racing for wins and finally a championship next year behind the wheel of the #48 for Big Machine Racing!”
