“”‘Bold Strategy, Tyler’: Bubba Wallace Playfully Teases 23XI Teammate During ‘Mario Kart Fun’ at Ronald McDonald House Charities

During a playful stop at a Ronald McDonald House in South Florida, NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace couldn’t resist teasing his 23XI Racing teammate, Tyler Reddick. The two drivers joined young fans for a few rounds of Mario Kart, but things took a humorous turn when Reddick, after slipping down to seventh place, passed the controller to one of the kids.

Wallace, known for his easygoing charisma, playfully jibed, “Bold strategy, Tyler. You get to 7th and you hand it over to the kid?” The laughter and friendly competition made for a memorable interaction, capturing a lighter side of the intense NASCAR season.

Both Wallace and Reddick drive for the 23XI Racing team, with Wallace behind the wheel of the No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE and Reddick piloting the No. 45 car. Their visit to the charity house came just ahead of the Homestead-Miami Speedway race, where both drivers sought to engage with their community and give back.

Wallace later shared the experience on Instagram, calling it “really special” to spend time with the kids, spreading joy and encouraging his followers to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), a significant cause funded by 23XI’s main sponsor, McDonald’s.

As Wallace connected with the young fans, he encouraged his audience to donate to RMHC, an organization that supports families by providing housing, medical care, educational programs, and more. His message emphasized the importance of contributing to such causes, with McDonald’s being one of 23XI Racing’s key supporters.

This charitable moment comes amid an intense season for 23XI Racing, as Reddick enters the Homestead race with a chance to advance in the NASCAR playoffs. Currently sixth in the playoff standings and just shy of the elimination line, he’s aiming to secure points on Homestead’s challenging 1.5-mile track.

Wallace also recently made waves by sidestepping political questions, instead encouraging fans to support RMHC through McDonald’s. Suggesting fans buy a meal and “round up” for charity, Wallace said, “That money goes to [Ronald McDonald House Charities].” He emphasized that focusing on making a positive impact and supporting families was more meaningful than divisive discussions, highlighting his core belief in unity and mutual support.

While Wallace didn’t qualify for this season’s playoffs, his performances—including six top-5 finishes and a pole at Darlington—underscore his resilience and dedication both on and off the track. His message of kindness and teamwork continues to resonate with fans, making him a standout not only in NASCAR but in his community as well.
