Amazon joined the $7.7 billion NASCAR broadcasting deal, securing the rights to stream five exclusive races and all practice and qualifying sessions through June. This partnership allows NASCAR to reach a global audience via Amazon Prime, with discussions of simulcasting on Twitch for free further amplifying excitement.

This shift is seen as a fresh start for NASCAR, which has struggled with declining viewership over the years. Average audiences dropped from 5.1 million in 2015 to under 3 million in the last two years. With Amazon entering the scene, the buzz is palpable, and the company’s promotional efforts are already winning over fans.

During a recent NFL Thursday Night Football broadcast, Amazon debuted its first NASCAR promo, offering a glimpse of what fans can expect. Following this, the release of the NASCAR page on the Prime Video app has further fueled excitement. Located under the Sports section, the dedicated NASCAR tab includes a detailed race schedule, driver profiles, and track information, all presented with Amazon’s signature polished interface.

Fans are optimistic about the upcoming changes, hoping Amazon’s innovative approach will transform the NASCAR viewing experience. Discussions on platforms like Reddit show growing enthusiasm, with one fan remarking, “This gives me hope.” The contrast between Amazon’s modern setup and the perceived stagnation of traditional broadcasters like NBC and Fox is a hot topic.
