Alpha Prime Racing has announced Joe Williams as the new crew chief for their No. 4 Chevrolet Camaro in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series. Williams will work alongside driver Parker Retzlaff, leveraging his extensive NASCAR experience to lead the team.
Williams’ NASCAR career includes notable roles, such as his time as a Cup Series crew chief. More recently, he managed the No. 28 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for RSS Racing, a position he assumed after a mid-season switch from AM Racing. At AM Racing, Williams played a pivotal role in launching a new organization and guiding driver Brett Moffitt to secure one top-five and nine top-10 finishes. His earlier accomplishments include a victory at Auto Club Speedway with Cole Custer while working with SS-GreenLight Racing.
In 2025, Williams will team up with Parker Retzlaff, a driver who has already achieved three top-five finishes, 12 top-10 finishes, and pole positions at tracks like Richmond and Martinsville. Retzlaff expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season, saying, “We want to win races, be consistent, and prove we’re here to compete. The belief the team has shown in me is humbling. I’m grateful for the support of my partners, whom I’ll be announcing soon.” He also commended team owners Tommy Joe Martins and Caesar Bacarella, stating, “They’ve put together an incredible team, and it’s a huge confidence boost to know they want me here.”
Team owner Caesar Bacarella echoed Retzlaff’s excitement, noting, “We’re thrilled to have him on board. Parker is a young, talented driver who will help elevate the team. It’s all about having great people, and that’s been the key to our success as we compete against the best teams in the world.”
