Kyle Larson Dominates Chili Bowl for Third Win

The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion, Kyle Larson, has added another milestone to his career, claiming his third Chili Bowl Nationals championship.

After winning Monday’s qualifying night, Larson secured a spot in Saturday’s highly anticipated main event at the SageNet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His remarkable performance earned him another Golden Driller trophy.

Larson’s path to victory started with the Pole Shuffle on Saturday night. His qualifying win ensured his entry, and a fortunate draw placed him as the last car to take the track. He capitalized on the opportunity, defeating Landon Brooks to clinch the pole position for the feature race.

From the pole, Larson led every lap of the championship A Main, but it wasn’t without challenges. With 17 laps remaining, he made contact with a lapped car, raising tension among fans. Later, as the race neared its conclusion, Larson brushed the outside wall on the front stretch. A timely caution immediately followed, allowing him to maintain the lead.

Despite a strong push from Daison Pursley in the closing laps, Larson stayed composed and held on to secure the victory.

At 32, Larson now stands alongside Christopher Bell, his Cup Series competitor and midget car racing rival, as a three-time Chili Bowl Nationals champion. His earlier wins came in 2020 and 2021, with his first triumph breaking a 12-year winless drought for him at the prestigious Midget Car Nationals in Tulsa.

Larson’s latest victory not only solidifies his dominance in dirt racing but also highlights his versatility and skill across different motorsport disciplines.
