“‘Curry Out 2 More Weeks!’: Warriors Fans on Edge as 2x MVP Can’t Hide Excitement Over Kyle Anderson’s Epic Euro-Step vs Rockets”

Despite being out with an ankle injury, Stephen Curry is still entertaining fans. Known as the NBA’s greatest 3-point shooter, he isn’t new to impersonating others, and during the Rockets vs. Warriors game, Curry was hyped up on the sidelines. When Kyle Anderson executed a euro step to score, Curry jumped up to celebrate, then humorously mimicked the move from the bench—some say it’s his best impression yet.

Anderson’s critical shot in overtime secured the win, bringing Curry to his feet in excitement. As he returned to his seat, Curry continued with a playful imitation of Anderson’s slow-motion style. Rookie Gui Santos also joined in, giving his own take on Anderson’s moves, as though there was a friendly competition over who could mimic better. With Curry and De’Anthony Melton out due to injuries and Draymond Green and Brandin Podziemski fouling out late in the game, the Warriors needed someone to come through, and Anderson delivered.

In 23 minutes off the bench, Anderson contributed 9 points on 4-of-10 shooting, with 2 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and a block. While his numbers were solid, the spotlight stayed on Curry, even though he didn’t play.

Fans loved Curry’s comedic sideline moment. One joked, “Curry out 2 more weeks, ankle,” playfully extending his recovery time. Curry, who has been making progress, participated in practice in Houston. Another fan was concerned, tweeting, “Easy on the ankle, Steph,” hoping to see him back on the court soon. Curry injured his left peroneal in the previous game against the Clippers, briefly attempted to keep playing, but left to prevent further damage. Thankfully, his playful energy isn’t likely to interfere with his recovery.

Curry has often been a source of comic relief for fans. One fan tweeted, “My goat is fun on and off the court,” capturing Curry’s charm beyond basketball. Known for his quirky celebrations, dance moves, and trademark no-look shots, Curry has a way of entertaining fans on and off the court.

A fan even added, “Steph adds team mascot to his resume. So inspirational.” There’s certainly a difference between being the face of the team and its mascot, but Curry, with his skill and charisma, has become a beloved figure in the Bay Area.

With this victory over the Rockets, the Warriors are now 5-1 and appear to be in a strong place—even with Curry missing half the games so far.
