Parker Retzlaff is moving on after spending two years with Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport, as the team announced its 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series driver lineup over the weekend. The lineup includes returning driver Jeb Burton and newcomer Blaine Perkins.
Burton will remain in the No. 27 car, while Perkins will take over the No. 31, previously driven by Retzlaff. Team owner Jordan Anderson expressed excitement about the new lineup and the team’s progress heading into its fifth season in the Xfinity Series.
“We’re thrilled to continue building this program with Jeb and Blaine as we prepare for the future,” Anderson said. “The journey from a single-car operation to where we are now reflects our team’s resilience and dedication. Jeb’s return as a veteran driver will provide the leadership and experience we need to keep moving forward.”
Anderson also praised Retzlaff for his contributions over the past two seasons. “I’m grateful for Parker’s efforts in the No. 31 and the role we’ve played in his growth as a driver. We’re looking forward to doing the same with Blaine, giving him the tools and opportunities to develop both on and off the track. It’s an exciting time to grow our program with committed drivers, team members, and partners who share our vision.”
Burton, who has achieved two career wins at Talladega and is known for maximizing his equipment, remains a strong contender for the playoffs. Crew chief Shane Whitbeck will continue working with him.
“Returning for a third season with Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport means a lot to me,” Burton said. “We’re building something special here, and I’m ready to carry the momentum into 2025. I’m grateful to Jordan, John, Shane, and all our partners for their support, and I’m looking forward to putting our Chevrolet up front and giving fans something to cheer for.”
Perkins, a race winner in Late Models and the ARCA West Series, is excited about the opportunity to join the team. “This is a big step in my career, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that values growth and success,” he said. “I’m ready to give it my all and make the most of the 2025 season.”
As for Retzlaff’s departure, Burton addressed the situation in an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, emphasizing that funding was the primary factor.
“Parker was a great teammate, and we got along well,” Burton said. “Our sport requires funding, and unfortunately, that’s the reason he’s not returning. I’ve been in his position before, and I told him to keep his head up. He’s only 21 years old and has a bright future ahead of him.
